Community radio station Mode FM have just launched a month-long programme of free DJ workshops for 18-25-year-olds living in Haringey.

Mode FM are accepting applicants of all skill levels and experience. The programme will aim to teach participants how to use industry-standard equipment, how to source, organise and prepare music as well as elements of radio production and presenting. The long term goal of the programme to empower and equip the next generation of DJs and musicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain a sustainable career in the music industry.

Kicking off on Tuesday, May 2, the workshops will run Monday-Friday for three hours (12pm-3pm), and continue until the end of the month. Participants will sit in on a Q&A session with a panel of industry professionals across the radio and music industry. The programme will end with a showcase event, where all participants will be paid to perform in front of a live audience.
