The 30th MOBO Awards took place yesterday, March 26 and it was a fitting celebration of the institution.

Following last year's historic takeover in Newcastle, this time it was Manchester got the MOBOs treatment, including an extended week of MOBOs Fringe events (sponsored by PPL), including live sessions, networking events and sport.

Hosted by Eddie Kadi and Eve, this year's MOBOs felt bigger than ever with appearances from Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams, Wale, Slick Rick, Tiwa Savage and many more who all gathered in the Co-Op Arena to celebrate three decades of the MOBOs.

Olivia Dean was the big winner with three major awards,Album of The Year for The Art Of Loving, Song of The Year for "Man I Need", and Best Female Act. Among the other winners were Jim Legxacy (Best Male Act), Chip (Best Grime Act), RAYE (Video of The Year for "Where Is My Husband!"), Central Cee (Best Hip Hop Act), and FLO (Best R&B/Soul Act).

Performances came from Olivia Dean, FLO, Slick Rick and Estelle, Tiwa Savage, Aitch, Myles Smith, Shenseea and the special Grime 25 medley with Chip, D Double E, Nolay, Scorcher and Wiley, curated by DJ Target.

MOBO remains an important platform, and we are more committed than ever to opening doors, breaking barriers and championing the voices that shape culture around the world."
