Mez Salutes A BBK Legend With Self-Produced "Jme"

August 02, 2021

After an action-packed 2020 that saw Mez release the Tyrone 3 project, the Babylon Can't Roll EP, and collaborate with P Money, Frisco, Travis T and more, the Nottingham don had a relatively quiet start to 2021. That's come to an end now, though, because he's now dropped off visuals for his new single, "Jme".

As it turns out, Mez has spent the last few months honing his skills on Logic and this self-produced number is a taste of how far he's come. The new beat packs a mighty punch, mixing well-executed grime tropes with salutes to BBK's Jamie Adenuga, throwing out non-stop references, including lines like "I got a black skimask, but I don't ski" and "Don't mek me get serious", icing the cake with some "Blam"s and "Well, well, well"s for good measure.

This isn't a one-off, either. "Jme" is said to be the first track from an upcoming new project, One Uncle, which is scheduled to drop August 13. While you wait for that, shake a leg with Bipolar Spider's visuals below.
