Almost like a conveyor belt, Manchester routinely produces supremely gifted rappers and rising talent Mennis is yet another example.

The 0161 rapper has just dropped off his second project, the Limited Edition EP, containing four tracks that demonstrate a strong lyrical ability, mind-boggling flows and light-footed rhyme patterns.

Openers "Ink" and "Cobra" lay the foundation, tentatively lean into the drill side of things before obliterating the tracks with menace. Then it's the turn of "Pulling Me Down" and "Never" (the latter featuring fellow 0161 rhymers p1caps and Con M1), which follow with an eerie edge to keep listeners on their toes.

The EP's sinister instrumentals come from another of Manchester's finest, Sangy, who provides the unsettling synth riffs and piano chords that form the late-night backdrop for Mennis' inspired wordplay.
