Maverick Sabre returns with a reflective offering titled "Not Easy Love" featuring former Hawk House member Demae.

Over a soulful backdrop of guitar strums and pace-setting percussion, Maverick begins by looking inwards, reflecting on the sometimes complicated sides to love. Demae's supple vocals join shortly after she shares her own perspective on affairs of the heart.

Despite their contrasting vocal textures, their chemistry shines through in a major way, especially towards the end of the track. The accompanying visuals, directed by Louise Mackay, adds new life to the lyrics as we watch a couple go through the motions of a difficult relationship.

Speaking on the new track, Mav shares: "'Not Easy Love' is about reflecting on myself, on how my own love isn't the easiest at times, a lot of songs I've written about love over the years have been about being consumed by the emotion of the relationship itself and maybe in that I haven't given enough time to see how I can be difficult, nobody's perfect."

There's no word on a new Maverick Sabre album just yet, but he is set to make an appearance on Swindle's forthcoming album titled The New World, which is due October 29.
