Manga Saint Hilare Celebrated His Birthday By Gifting Fans Self-Produced 'Interlude Deluxe'

July 02, 2020

Yesterday it was Manga Saint Hilare's birthday and in typical Manga fashion, he's decided to give us a gift.

He's always been known as a top tier MC in and out of grime, but for his new offering he's decided to broaden his skillset. As he explains below, he's spent the lockdown period teaching himself how to produce and now we've got his first batch of instrumentals.

Interlude Deluxe, released exclusively via his Bandcamp, is a 100% instrumental affair; some are entirely new productions while others revisit and revamp old classics, most of which come from Outbursts From The Outskirts and Make It Out Alive.

In a statement on Bandcamp, Manga said, "Today is my birthday, so I wanted to give some vibes to my people dem. At the start of lockdown I wanted to learn something new. I always wanted to learn how to produce so I thought 'Boom, now's the time'...

"Big up Lewi and Freeza who proper helped me get started making beats. Freeza told me about this new programme called Serato Studio. So I've sat on that for a month and here are some riddims. I've re-made some of my old songs with my new vibes."
