M1llionz Heads To Nigeria In Conceptual War Story Visuals For "Right Dere"

January 23, 2023

It's the start of a new chapter for M1llionz as he begins to shift from his drill sound with his potent new single "Right Dere".

Unlike the upbeat bassline thumps of "Punch Lines Freestyle", producer 169 sets a steady tempo with a concoction of more relaxed sounds. Adjusting to this new setting, M1llionz manipulates his flow slightly, pushing his storytelling chops in the process. For the conceptual music video, Boy Director casts a warm glow over a Nigerian community and its bustling street hustlers with scenes of gunmen preparing for a war of their own.

Speaking on this new gem, M1llionz said, "My return to music is going to be different, I'm not just a drill artist and I don't want to be labelled that. 'Right Dere' is my last drill song for a while and I had to make it extra special for my fans. Shooting videos internationally is my thing and working with Boy Director on this was the perfect way to end this era."

He's previously broken away from the drill sound on last year's Amapiano sweetener "Ziya Khala", which indicates the many possibilities of what he could do with his sound and style. In the meantime, take in the visual treat below.
