Lord Apex Partners With New York Producer V Don For "UK Shit"

Adding to the flourishing trend for transatlantic collaboration, Lord Apex recently teamed up with New York producer V Don (whose credits include beats for the likes of A$AP Rocky and Dave East) for new album Supply & Demand. Apex has had a long-standing love affair with the Big Apple, heading there last year to film the video for recent cut "The Fads".

Ahead of the album's release on September 4, the pair have just liberated visuals for lead single "UK Shit", a track that pulls together New York's peerless rap heritage with London's recent world-beating innovations. Both rapper and producer have made serious marks on the rap scenes of their respective cities and this new track carries a tonne of allusions to both.

The video that comes with takes inspiration from Kanye's classic "All Falls Down", swapping out the hot Chicago sun for London's unforgiving cold. Amplifying that, Apex is presented in harsh black and white as he unfurls his low slung flow over V Don's fluttering orchestral strings and mercurial yet unmistakably East Coast rhythms.
