Little Torment Tries To Make Sense Of An Increasingly Chaotic World On "Flowers"
We're only halfway through 2020 and it's fair to say it's been a relentless tidal wave of tragedy, chaos and stress, seemingly coming at us from all sides. Here to try to make some kind of sense of it all is Little Torment with the visuals for his new track "Flowers".
Backed by a soothing, melodic production from DJTR Beats, the South London rhymer takes his time to pay tribute to everyone we've lost this year and sort through the increasingly distressing headlines.
The Elliot Simpson-directed visuals stitch together a whirlwind montage of the depressingly large number of tragedies we've endured this year that includes the passing of Pop Smoke, Kobe Bryant and Black The Ripper, the endless COVID headlines, countless instances of police brutality. However, he reminds us there have also been flashes of hope, most notably John Boyega's stirring speech at the Black Lives Matter protest in Hyde Park last month.
