Earlier this year, Lianne La Havas dropped "Bittersweet", her first solo single in five years and it appears she's gathered some serious momentum as we've now just had word that a new album is on the way.

Joining "Bittersweet" on the self-titled third album, which drops July 17 via Nonsuch, is the smoky and fragile new single "Paper Thin". Backed by the most gentle of instrumentals, the new song is a delicate and pained offering — hardly surprising since she describes the upcoming album as her most honest and revealing to date.

"I've tapped into the best and worst parts of me," La Havas explained of the project. "While I didn't expect this to be the direction of my new music, it's my reality and it's driven by emotion. I dare say that this is the closest I've gotten to a pure expression so far."
