Lady Lykez And Scratcha DVA Collide For Thundering 'Muhammad Ali' EP

May 28, 2019

Fast-talking grime, rap and dancehall boss Lady Lykez has been hard at work recently putting the finishing touches to her new EP called Muhammad Ali, produced by Hyperdub regular Scratcha DVA, aka Scratchclart.

The pair have been friends for a while now, but for some reason this is the first time they've worked together in the studio. The story goes that Scratcha first discovered Lykez back in 2007, impressed by her rapidfire delivery and boundless confidence from the start.

Thankfully, they've finally worked together and Muhammad Ali is the result. Lykez's energy can be heard in her inimitable delivery, brimming with confidence on top of Scratcha's mix of rumbling basslines with a blend of dancehall, bashment and grime.

Not only that, but the video for the "Muhammad Ali" remix with Lioness also dropped shortly after. Check that out at the bottom to see the two emcees sound off under the watchful eye of a spotlight.
