kwes e & BXKS Exchange Flows On Jazzy "First"

October 10, 2022

This February saw the release of vowels: excerpt three, the third installment of all the sounds and influences that make up kwes e's world. Aside from his genre-hopping style, his diaristic writing is another skill he showcases and he puts that front and centre on his latest cut, "first", which features Luton native BXKS.

Mulade and Kamil Ademola are behind the production, creating the perfect environment for kwes e's storytelling. He's wound up by an enticing romantic request but despite the temptations, he's focused on putting himself first. BXKS steps in to build on kwes e's flows, revealing her laid-back demeanour.

For the opening scene of the visuals, captured by Oliver Charlesworth, the production begins with a customised spin on PinkPantheress' "Passion" before we settle into the main body of the beat. From there, jazzy chords, ear-filling bass and sparse drums accompany shots of kwes e spending his nights soaking up live music in an ocean of eager listeners and party-goers.

Tune in below.
