Kwaku Asante Mourns The End Of A Relationship On Soaring "Dust"

July 01, 2020

After emerging into the UK R&B scene in summer 2018 with the shimmering, funk-tinged charm of "The Way That You Move", Kwaku Asante has been an impressively consistent source of richly-textured songwriting.

Now he's back with another timeless offering, "Dust". Once again backed by a big and bold funk bass line, the new single's raw production style makes you feel as if you're listening to an off the cuff jam session with Asante's room-filling vocals soaring without restraint.

In a statement released with the track, Asante explained that "Dust" is about "Mentally going through the process of a relationship ending, whilst reflecting on past events and stages, that mutually you may have done wrong and not paid attention to."
