Krept & Konan's 'Revenge Is Sweet' LP Has Arrived—And It's Essential Listening

November 04, 2019

British rap duo Krept & Konan have finally released their much-anticipated second studio album, Revenge Is Sweet. The 13-track set includes the pair's recently-released smash hit single "I Spy" and, in true K&K style, the album is laced with features from some of the UK's top tier side-by-side with artists from across the pond, including features from Jamaican dancehall star Spice and Toronto don Tory Lanez, who assist on the Caribbean slow jam "First Time".

However, the UK scene is definitely the star of the show here as the scene's heavy-hitters such as MoStack, D-Block Europe, Stormzy, Ling Hussle and the late, great Cadet help to elevate the rest of the project. While many of the tracks on the album are heavy-hitting, bar-for-bar rap tracks, they also take time to deliver an emotional and important message towards the end of the project, with South London rhymer Ramz opening up about his battle with mental health in a chilling and inspiring skit called "Before Its Too Late". Up next is "Broski"—a dedication to Krept's brother, Nash, who also fell victim to mental health and unfortunately committed suicide—and, although it's heavy, it balances out the rest of the fly-boy antics on the album.

Krept & Konan will kick off their Revenge Is Sweet tour at the 02 in London this December, and will be joined by supporting acts Yungen, K-Trap and Rap Game UK contestants Kiico and Ransom. But for now, check out the album below.
