In May this year, Kojey Radical announced that he had just put the finishing touches to his as-yet-untitled second album and that it would be coming later this year. With that announcement came the project's first single, the gospel-influenced "Can't Go Back", produced by Swindle, KZ and Kyu Steed. Now he's back with the album's second single, "2020", an energetic and relentless encouragement to not get distracted from your career goals.

Finding success in the music game can be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, doors are opened, your life might get a little comfier and it's a good feeling when people like your music. On the other hand, the pitfalls are plentiful. Chief among those pitfalls, as Kojey tells us, is that you're constantly second guessing yourself and where you are in your career.

Speaking on the track, Kojey said: "What's better, having hope or expectations? Many people feel so pressured by the expectations of others that it causes them to be frustrated, miserable and confused about what they should do. That was me; I had a million exceptions of what I should be, where I should be and when, instead of seeing the importance of having a vision. Now, nothing can stop me. I'm in the year 2020."
