"Gangsta" Is Kojey Radical's Ode To The Powerful Women In His Life

November 12, 2021

Kojey Radical shares an uplifting new single titled "Gangsta" which is the second track taken from his much-anticipated debut album arriving in 2022. A slight contrast from the Lex Amor-assisted "War Outside", it features production from KZ, Swindle, Ed Thomas and Jay Weathers.

Over the luscious orchestral display Kojey's pen flows with uplifting messages as he celebrates the women in his life that have influenced his growth in one way or another. "Gangsta" is another finely crafted single that showcases Kojey's undeniable lyrical talent and makes us all the more excited for his album release.

On the track's inspiration, Kojey shares: "Any time I come to a sense of reasoning or a sense of self, it's normally because of the advice or presence of women around me, whether that's my mum, my sisters or the mother or my son. This song is a celebration of those women and an appreciation of everything they've been through. For me, their ability to persevere through everything is the definition of what a gangster actually is."

While we wait to hear the finer details of the new project, get in to "Gangsta" below.
