Kojey Radical Calls On King Promise For "Born" Remix With Cashh

July 18, 2022

Following the eagerly-awaited release of his Reason To Smile album back in March, Kojey Radical returns with a remix to the track "Born". The original features Cashh and now they connect with Ghanaian artist King Promise, adding a fresh layer of vibes to the track.

King Promise arrives at the start, supplementing the Kwame 'KZ' Kwei-Armah JR production with his hip-stirring melodies. This time Kojey gifts us with a Charlie Sarsfield-directed visual where the setting is gradually packed with partygoers ready to let loose to the summertime vibes. Mixed in among the busy sea of dancers, keep an eye out for cameos from some of our faves like Julie Adenuga and Knucks.

"It's always a good feeling when you have made a piece of music that last and unites cultures," Kojey says of the remix. "Cashh is someone I have been a fan of for a very long time and working with him on the album was actually more of a dream come true for me, and King Promise is an artist that I've admired for some time. He reached out as soon as the album came out and let me know he was down, so it just came together to make something that I'm really proud of. I hope you all love it."

Reason To Smile is a remarkable album with strong features from the likes of Kelis, Tiana Major9, Wretch 32, Masego, Knucks, and plenty more. Tune into the new version of "Born" below.
