Knucks Delivers A Profound Message About Youth Violence On "Home"

February 19, 2020

Taken from his highly successful NRG 105 project, Knucks has dropped the long-awaited visuals for "Home". Throughout, he delivers messages of life choices, violence and youth pressures.

Known for his lyrical expertise and creativity, the North West London rapper puts on a clinic in the art of storytelling on this deep-cutting and vivid track. The visuals, directed by Asylum 33, help Knucks paint a picture of some of the experiences that people face in inner-city London.

Detailing both the positives and negatives of the place that so many young people call home, the video presents a normal day with his friends that quickly goes wrong, resulting in an evening of chaos and knife crime — a story seen far too often on London's streets. During the song, the tempo of Knucks' flow changes to reflect his fear and the seriousness of the situation, once again showing off his ability to use rap to depict different scenarios.

This one's essential viewing.
