Knucks Gets Candid On Thoughtful Two-Parter "Alpha House / Hide & Seek"

February 04, 2022

Since his recent Colors debut, Knucks has kept us hungry for the official release of "Alpha House", which he has now handed over along with new cut "Hide & Seek".

The West London storyteller ties both tracks together, creating a seamless progression of the narrative he's created. Both "Alpha House" (which he produced himself and co-wrote with Venna) and "Hide & Seek" (produced by TSB) give an in-depth showcase of his talents. Stretching far beyond punchlines and playful wordplay, he offers a skillful and poignant look back on his upbringing in Kilburn.

The accompanying short film captures the warmth of his community while he delivers his bars on a balcony, getting a birds-eye view of his area. The first half experiments with mixed media, blending stills with moving images to reflect his vivid memories of this time in his life. Soon we transition into the second half of the narrative in "Hide & Seek", which follows the story of a young boy called Kevin and his frequent run-ins with the police.

The two new tracks are lifted from his upcoming EP, titled Alpha Place, which is scheduled to land later this year.
