Kieron Boothe Reflects His State Of Mind And The Value Of Art On 'Views From The Bottom'

October 10, 2022

Newham-raised rhymer Kieron Boothe comes with his potent six-tracker titled Views From The Bottom, following a few tasters over the past couple of months including the celebratory "No Regrets".

Production duties are passed between Tye Green, Cotton, Nikhil Beats, Harvey Whyte, Srigala, and Morfius yet the sound remains impressively cohesive and fresh. Lo-fi crackles and atmospheric production quirks enliven the neo-soul-infused backdrop, while Boothe shares the pages of his notepad reflections.

He speaks on the increasing demand for music from people who fail to recognise the time it takes to deliver meaningful art, reiterating 'this is art not content' on "Original Soundman". For the most part, it's a lonesome journey until the penultimate track where he links up with Harvey Whyte to "Spark It".

"I tried to reveal a bit more of myself with this project," he shares. "Music has always been like a diary to me and I wanted this project to really capture the current space I'm in but also have some fun too. I think working with so many different producers allowed that to happen naturally and I'm excited to hear people's thoughts on it because I think some songs will surprise people."
