Kasien Flows To His Own Rhythm On "Do What I Like"

September 28, 2022

South London's Kasien abides by no rules but his own and it's one of the many attributes that allow him to stand out in the expanding pool that is UK music. He recently appeared on "Get Down", an extract from p-rallel's summertime care package Forward, but his latest cut "Do What I Like" sees him surf over a fresh sea of sounds.

Following the heavenly strings displayed in the introduction, producer Fred Cox compiles a tittering drum pattern that nicely opposes the soothing piano accompaniment. Kasien comes with his slick lyricism from the start, adapting his flow to fit the new rhythms as they're introduced. Plunging listeners into his world, he paints a picture of what it looks like to do life on your own terms and the liberation that comes with this decision.

It's an exciting teaser of his incoming tape Don't Let The Devil In, which promises a more in-depth journey into his world of raw self-expression. While we wait for a release date for the tape, tap into the new single below.
