Almost exactly a month ago, Dave emerged with surprise two-track drop Titanium & Mercury and in doing so introduced the world to Kamal., a bright new talent who's been quietly pushing out tenderly crafted songs since he debuted back in 2019.

In the weeks following his high-profile collab, Harlesden-hailing Kamal. has been gearing up for the release of his new single, "Lose". Co-produced by J Moon, the new single gave us a better look at Kamal.'s songwriting prowess, his stunning vocal range and instinct for subtle but deeply affecting arrangements.

It's a restrained offering and the visuals, which the North West Londoner also self-directed alongside Nathan James Tettey, are a wistful affair, with sweeping shots of the young singer looking out at across the sea.

"Lose" is lifted from Kamal.'s upcoming debut EP, War Outside, which is due June 11.
