New UK Rap/Drill Drama Series 'Jungle' Set To Arrive On Amazon Prime

August 17, 2022

A new six-part series is coming to Amazon Prime and our rap and drill scenes are set to feature prominently. Jungle is the brainchild of Nothing Lost, the creative duo consisting of Junior Okoli and Chas Appeti, and it lands on Amazon Prime on September 30.

Set against the backdrop of the capital, the series will feature an incredible soundtrack and a slew of heavyweight rappers including Rimzee, Bandokay, Big Narstie, Unknown T, Jordan McCann, Double Lz and Tinie Tempah. So far, the cast consists of M24 as 6ix, K Koke as Stacks, RA as Slim, J Fado as Chapo, Jaykae as Willow, Amaria BB as Bianca, Seyi Andes-Pelumi as Danial, and IAMDDB as Mia.

The logline reads: "Jungle follows the connected lives of several strangers, each facing their own struggle, viewed through the prism of UK rap and drill music, and gives a perspective on an often-unseen world. Frequently misunderstood, it's a world where one law governs everything: only the strongest will survive. As the strangers' worlds begin to unravel around them, they come to the realisation that every action, no matter how small, has a consequence. Portraying the city through compelling visuals whilst detailing the many perils of day-to-day life in inner city London, Jungle ultimately seeks to convey a bigger message about the true value of life."

The teaser trailer, which premiered during the Television Critics Association panel, is available to watch below.

Updated on August 24: the full trailer has now landed.
