Juls And Niniola Create A Simmering Tension On New Jam "Love Me"

Back with the second taste of his upcoming debut album (following "Wicked" with Knucks, Kadiata and Sam Wise), British-Ghanaian hit-maker Juls is back with "Love Me", a collaboration with Nigerian star Niniola, a Grammy nominee who counts Drake and Beyonce as fans.

The new single takes us back to the jazz and funk roots of Afrobeats, using a restraint to let the various elements breathe and keep the focus on the interplay between Niniola's roaring vocals and the bursts of brass while the playful guitar licks and percussion drive things forward.

"This record is spiritual, so I'm very excited about it," Juls said of the track. "Niniola is one of my favourite African artists so it's an honour to have her bless me. I threw in some elements of South African Amapiano in there too. It's all about the global sound of Africa for me right now. It's Africa to the world."

To go with the track, Juls connected with prolific photographer and director Ray Fiasco to craft what is essentially a mini slasher film. It's moody, it's tense and you can practically feel the oppressive late night heat beating down on you throughout. Tune in below.
