Joy Orbison Lifts The Lid On An Unreleased Drill Track With KO

April 23, 2020

Revered electronic producer and DJ Joy Orbison has been using his BBC Radio 1 residency to play various unreleased tracks by him and his friends. Recently, he showed us how far he's willing to come out of his usual bass-driven club sounds by playing an unreleased cut that he's been working on with Homerton rapper KO.

Before the track played, Orbison said: "We've been working on some music together; this one's something that we did really recently. Unreleased, not even mastered... Just wanted to play it tonight and share it with you."

It's clear from the outset that Orbison understands the essence of UK drill. The blend of calming electronics and rugged 808s makes for a refreshing contrast that matches perfectly with KO's authentic flow and impressive lyricism. This untitled collab has got us on the edge of our seats for the track's official release. While we wait, check out the unreleased version below.
