Jorja Smith Keeps It Personal On Her Birthday With Delicate Visuals For "Goodbyes"

June 12, 2019

Jorja Smith has been celebrating her 22nd birthday in style, but aside from her own personal celebrations, she has still found time to gift her fans a new video for "Goodbyes", taken from her critically-acclaimed debut album Lost & Found (which also celebrated its first birthday this week). The delicate, acoustic-led track is one of the more personal from the project and sees the Walsall-born star discussing the process of mourning and regret after death.

Speaking about the Rashid Babiker-directed video, Jorja said: "'Goodbyes' is a song for anyone who has not been able to say their last words, to say goodbye to someone. Rashid and I filmed the video at my home. I just sang as I wanted to create a homely feel. Then me and my friends set off fire lanterns for the people we miss."
