We've had collabs with Giggs, ENNY and Popcaan, but it's been a little minute since we had a solo cut from Jorja Smith. However, that all changes today as she returns with new single "Addicted".

Wrought in the chilling soul sound that first brought her to everyone's attention with "Blue Lights", the new single tells the story of watching a relationship unravel, rocked by the knowledge that you're not as important to that special person as you once thought you were.

The new single also comes complete with video Smith self-directed alongside Savanah Leaf. Filmed at home during lockdown, the home video-style treatment feels like a montage of shots from our own lives that, for the past 12 months, have been seen only through screens.

Whether this relative quiet spell means she's been hard at work on a follow-up to her 2018 debut album Lost & Found remains to be seen. Regardless, it's a welcome treat.
