Jordy Takes A Shot At His "Enemies" Ahead Of Upcoming 'KMT' EP

May 04, 2022

Following swiftly on from last week's "Medellin", Vibbar affiliate and Essex-based rapper Jordy returns for a moment of uninterrupted reflection on new track "Enemies".

The production from OJ and Buyeza plays with some R&B sentiments—a sparse piano melody here, some dreamy acoustic guitar strums there—which Jordy powers across with his candid lyrics, touching on betrayal and loyalty. The rapper's vision seems to be clearer than ever as he asserts himself as a skilled wordsmith and versatile performer.

For the visuals, directed by Jojo Mukeza, we're invited into the studio with a minimal selection of friends supporting Jordy as he cooks up some heat behind the mic.

Speaking on the track, Jordy says, "'Enemies' is what it says on the tin, it's a common theme throughout the upcoming project—the modern-day warfare of fake friends. The track is an insight into my outlook of having authentic people in my corner, it also captures the thoughts and challenges of new people trying to enter my space and circle."

"Enemies" arrives with the announcement of his next EP KMT, a continuation of last year's well-received SMH project.
