Jords Marks 'Swings & Roundabouts' EP Release With "Childish" Visuals

July 15, 2022

As a collaborator, Jords has been on quite a roll recently; we've had joints like "One Time" with p-rallel, Jelani Blackman's "Gorgeous", and then there are his own collaborations like "Enemies" with Kadiata and Masego, and "Old School Flex" with D Double E and Izzy Bizu. Following 2020's Almost An Adult, he's come back to share his current state of mind on his new project, Swings & Roundabouts.

With a runtime just shy of 13 minutes, we're given four tracks of pure summer vibes. Starting as he means to go on, we begin with the title track where Jords details some of his fluctuating emotions, from feeling good and blessed to slipping into a spiral of sadness. Mike Brainchild produces "Boa Vista" featuring South London soulstress Duchess, while Swindle lends his skills on "Pound Signs" featuring Sam Wise. This one plays around with strains of funk and hip-hop, which complements the storytelling happening behind the mic between Jords and Sam.

To top it all off, "Childish" lands with some Ronita-directed visulas where Jords picks up a bite to eat at Blue Jay's Cafe before stepping out to quickly give us a spirited performance of the track, supported by a few keen friends.

Hit play on the "Childish" video below and then get into the whole EP at the bottom.
