Joe Hertz Connects With Brazilian R&B Talent Nonô To Take You To The "Møøn"

February 28, 2019

Linking up with rising R&B talent Nonô, producer Joe Hertz has created a woozy R&B banger that expands the scope of his production while simultaneously intertwining with the Brazilian's vocals to make a sonic creation quite different to what we may expect from him on "Møøn".

Joe's knack for carefully woven and subtle electronics still shines through, but there's an undeniable sweetness to "Møøn" that stands even prouder. That's all to be expected from Hertz, but the brass-led, futuristic funk that we've heard him hint at before (particularly on 2017's Night / Daze, but never to this extent) is what makes this one truly special.

Speaking about "Møøn", Joe said: "This song came from my first session with Nonô — we quickly found we shared a lot of the same cultural influences and both had this passion for looking at where we are all going, as a society, and as artists. We liked the idea of a message of female empowerment through a visual story for this one: 'I'm flying to the moon' — anything is possible and this felt in-line with Nonô's own story pursuing her music and life in London from Brazil."
