Jimmy Battles The Cycle Of The Streets In "Rotation" Video

98s rhymer Jimmy has dropped a video for his soul-searching cut, "Rotation", and it’s a hard-hitting dose of truth. Giving us a ground-level perspective of life on the roads, it’s best summed up by the chorus' declaration, "I'm tired of court dates, feds, probation/the guys going jail-to-jail, lost in rotation". The R14 production has a haunting quality to it that Jimmy matches with his lyrics about the cyclical nature of the streets and how difficult it is to escape—it's a punchy yet moving offering from the Homerton native.

Set deep within a council estate, the Don Prod-directed visual brings to life the themes of the track, with shots of feds and residents alongside clips of riots and police and locals clashing. Jimmy has had his foot firmly on the pedal the year and his consistent releases have kept his fanbase tuned in awaiting the next drop. All signs point to the possibility that last year's Risk It All will receive more than likely receive a follow-up at some point this year.

In the meantime, hit play on the new video below.
