Jim Legxacy Takes Us South Of The River In Short And Sweet "Old Place" Video

Jim Legxacy is back with his latest genre-defying gem, "Old Place". The South Londoner's patent of blending R&B, bedroom-pop, indie, and drill (thanks to a surprise Harlem Spartans sample) are on full display on "Old Place", with a tender guitar riff sitting underneath Legxacy's soft vocal.

The 90-second offering sees him venting about how he and his old flame "rely on karma to strike each other" after once finding peace in one another's presence and how he'd take her back against his better judgement.

As ever, the video accompanying the song has Jim Legxacy in the safe space of his Lewisham ends, this time mobbing on the DLR with his crew. Directed and produced by Fidel, the visual is at odds with the sombre tone of the track and its unwise sentiment of begrudgingly taking back someone who doesn't appreciate you, but Jim and his boys are having such a good time that it becomes infectious.

If the track has you crying over your ex, at least the video will have you smiling.
