Jammer And Carns Hill Cross Paths On Percussive Rager "Nasty"

December 01, 2021

Both grime legend Jammer and drill originator Carns Hill have been busy exploring broader layers to their sounds lately—Carns dipping into his R&B bag and collaborating with Tara Mills, while Jammer's been flexing his skills with electronic club textures—but now the pair return to their roots with the head-swinging "Nasty".

Carns is the brains behind the flurry of overlapping drum rhythms and woozy siren-like effects in the background to which Jammer matches with his intense spitting style. Clocking in at just under three minutes, Jammer takes no chances to pause for a breath, using up every second to show exactly why he is one of the best to ever do it.

"Nasty" arrives with some well-deserved visuals directed by Reece West, which capture Jammer through a grainy black-and-white filter on a balcony in Barcelona before he relocates indoors to continue delivering his greeze-filled bars.
