Jakdanz Blends Gospel, Hip-Hop, Soul & More On Faith-Led LP 'God's Way'
Producer and multi-instrumentalist Jakdanz has just shared his new album, God's Way, a deeply personal project that lays out his story and his relationship with his faith.
Although raised in the church, the London native found himself drifting away from it until a chance encounter made him reconsider, telling TRENCH: "This album was born from that place of returning, surrendering, and truly choosing to give it all to God."
Influenced by gospel, R&B, soul and hip-hop, the album blends all of those elements together to create something that taps into the kinds of secular music that can trace its roots back to the church.
Speaking more about his journey and how the album ties to that, he adds: "Every track carries a piece of that journey: the questions, the struggles, the growth, the conviction and, ultimately, the peace that comes from trusting His way over mine.
"More than anything, I made this for people who have struggled in their walk, drifted from faith, or are simply trying to find their way back to God. No matter where you are in your journey, I pray this project encourages you, uplifts you, and reminds you that God never stops calling you back."
Press play on God's Way after the jump.
