Back in 2012, East London rapper J Spades kicked off what would become an essential series of mixtapes with More Money More Pagans. With each new volume, Spades would perfect a balance of tough-talking UK rap with big, catchy hooks. Now he's back with the fourth edition, and it could be his finest drop to date. The melodic side is more pronounced than ever and the inclusion of the likes of Donae'O and Fabian Secon reminds us yet again of his willingness to embrace the softer side of music. Despite those sweet and colourful melodies, there are still plenty of moments like the Uncle Murda-featuring "Fire Over Water" to hear trappy drums, booming bass and, of course, grounded and raw lyricism.
