Hope Refuses To Be Typecast In "Can't Box Me" Video

Most known for his role as Aaron on Top Boy, Hope has turned his attention to music and dropped a video to his track, "Can't Box Me". The track is both introspective yet optimistic; over Babyciaga and Thermo's production, Hope muses on creativity and artistry, exploring his journey in music as another medium of expression, alongside his well-established acting career.

In his own words, Hope explains: "'Can't Box Me' explores the frustration of being 'boxed' into one medium and not taken seriously when branching out. Artistry can be expressed in multiple ways. For me, I'm an actor who branched into music who can still be successful in both."

The Rasaq Kukoyi-directed video for "Can't Box Me" moves between neon-lit scenes and the chalk cliffs of the UK coastline under a twilight sky, punctuated by a scene where Hope pauses to take in the words of his fellow Top Boy star Kano as he delivers a speech on refusing to be boxed in as an artist. It's a lesson that Hope has clearly taken on board as he strives to expand his creativity into more than one field.
