Highlyy Sets Up Her New EP With Video For "Higher (C'est La Vie)"
Highlyy has dropped the video to her latest single, "Higher (C'est La Vie)". The Essex-born singer has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame in the last few months and this new drop aims at cementing her place as one to watch in the future.
Produced by Shae Jacobs, "Higher (C'est La Vie)" showcases the Afro-pop sound that Highlyy has made as her staple. Highlyy sounds self-assured and confident, boosted by the track's log drum patterns and uplifting keys. One to always rep her Congolese background, she sings in a seamless mix of English, French, and Pidgin (Yoruba) on the track.
The Sahra Zadat-directed video finds Highlyy stepping into her role as a star, her performance as captivating as the sets she's on. "Higher (C'est La Vie)" is taken from an upcoming debut EP, +243, which will be released in November.
