Birmingham's Jaykae hasn't had the easiest journey to the top. Like a lot of artists, Jaykae's story has its fair share of tragedy, particularly the tragic passing of his old friend and collaborator Depz.

Not long after his friend's passing, Jaykae stepped up for his contribution to the Fire In The Booth series and he used the whole thing to channel that pain and exorcise some of his own demons. It's lyrically impressive, for sure, but it's a tough listen at times.

Heart-wrenching lines like Few years back I was sending a lot, now man will get air like a vent in a crop / 'nuff man try glamourise this life, but try glamourise when your friend's in a box should go down as some of the rawest lyrics in the history of Fire In The Booth.
