The rise and rise of UK rap, which has led to its current chart dominance, was a long road littered with unsung heroes and overlooked masters who helped sculpt the sound we love so much today. For today's Heritage we're spotlighting a loose collective of rappers whose role in UK rap's evolution isn't talked about enough: North London's Tion Wayne, Multitalented Grime MC Terminator, Turner, GK, Josie, Merds, Terrible and PW.

Here they are back in 2015, right at the cusp of the British rap explosion, decimating a Westwood Crib Session. By now, you all know Tion Wayne and there's a good chance you know Terminator, but here's your opportunity to get familiar with the rest of them and their loose, greaze-soaked flows.

Take notes though, because there are some genuinely valuable life lessons here about wealth and self-betterment.
