HERITAGE: The Original Newham Generals Deliver A Fierce Pirate Radio Set (2005)

Another DVD gem pulled from the mists of time. The Streetz Incarcerated series might not be as well known as Risky Roadz or Practice Hours and the rest, but across four volumes K.D Pascall and co captured some of grime's most iconic moments.

This section from volume 2 pulls together a collage of clips of Newham Generals through the years, including footage from Luton Carnival as well as some pirate radio sessions. Best of all, it also includes some appearances from former member Monkstar. Though they've reunited a couple of times since these days, Monkstar's been off doing his own thing as a producer and engineer since the mid-2010s so he's sadly unlikely to return any time soon.

Individually, Footsie and D Double have been killing it lately, achieving career-highs with their solo albums — No Favours and D.O.N (Double Or Nothing), respectively — so we haven't heard much of them as a duo for a while. There are whispers that suggest that might change soon, but for now, take a trip down memory lane with this solid gold footage.
