HERITAGE: Stormzy Performs "Shut Up" For Anthony Joshua's Ring Walk (2015)

October 03, 2018

Anthony Joshua's love affair with music is no secret and the young boxer has regularly found himself fielding questions as much about his playlists as his strategies. The peak musical moment for Joshua, though, was back in 2015 when his new-found friend Stormzy made an appearance at a 2015 match to perform "Shut Up", a tune tailor-made for facing down the opps, in this case Dillian Whyte.

Of course, it was one of many big moments for Stormzy in 2015. His debut album was still a little way off yet, but he'd already notched up a string of hugely successful singles including "Know Me From", "Not That Deep", "Wicked Skengman 4" and, of course, "Shut Up". This however, marked one of the first big steps Stormzy would make into the mainstream, which has since culminated in him appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, X Factor and Love Island.

So hit play below to take a trip back to those heady days.
