HERITAGE: So Solid Crew Tell The Story Behind "21 Seconds" In 'This Is So Solid' Documentary (2002)

February 19, 2019

Although So Solid Crew had been killing it in underground raves since the late '90s, it wasn't until the early 2000s that the whole crew found mainstream fame. We've dug out the This Is So Solid documentary, made during the height of their success, that digs into their story and how they rose to prominence.

In this section of the doc, the crew explains how before this point, most people only knew of Romeo and Lisa Maffia, so "21 Seconds" was written to put the whole crew on one track and introduce them all to the mainstream.

The rest of the doc touches on all things So Solid, from the size of the crew to dealing with the pressure of all the obstacles in the way. It also takes us around their local Battersea estate and introduces the story of how most of the key members joined.

Watch the "21 Seconds" section below and then click here for the first part of the doc, which is split into 12 parts.
