HERITAGE: Skepta, Jme And Jammer Go Back To Back In This Epic Set At Old Blue Last (2008)

The beauty of grime has always been the spontaneity. It's not always the big arena shows with 50 stars on stage that go down in history, sometimes it's the little free-entry shows in pubs like this set from Skepta, Jme and Jammer (plus Jammin for support).

With Maximum holding down the decks, there are a lot of the usual heavy-hitting instrumentals, as well as a couple of older rarities like Wiley's "Club 7" instrumental, but the best bits are the bars they dig up.

Jme had just released Famous? at the time and most of his lyrics come from that very project, a lot of which we don't really hear anymore. In fact, the whole "Road Runner" verse he lets off still stands up as one of his best ever, complete with "I do a lot like ACME" and "I've got a low battery".

If you were there, you were truly blessed.
