HERITAGE: Skepta And Frisco Go Back-To-Back In This Early SBTV Cypher (2009)

July 27, 2021

Held up by some as one of the greatest UK cyphers ever recorded (DJ Oblig has gone on record as saying it's the greatest), this one's a special one no matter who you ask.

Recorded on Skepta and Frisco's home turf in Meridian Walk, this 2009 session is wall-to-wall quotables and features some early showings of both MCs' most iconic bars. For context, this is Microphone Champion era Skepta and Back 2 Da Lab Vol. 3 era Frisco—just to give you an idea of the classic lines these two were packing back then.

To be fair, we have to give credit to Calibar and Too Real as well, but its the two BBK MCs who steal the show thanks to lines like "Caution, North London extortion / I put a two-inch hole in an organ / Get away quicker than Flash Gordon".

Hit play on part one below and make sure you check out two and three (the latter of which includes Wretch 32).
