HERITAGE: Roll Deep, OGz & Boy Better Know Exercise Their Greatness During This Sunday Evening Rinse FM Show (2008)

Sometimes it's easy to forget how good we had it. Back in the late 2000s, we had all the best grime crews in the world banging out radio sets every single week.

This one in particular, filmed in 2008 at the Rinse FM studios, is probably the best example of all. Billed as a set featuring OGz, Roll Deep and Boy Better Know, it was that rare crossover period between the latter and it gave us some absolute gold.

Recorded during the coveted Sunday night slot that belonged to Roll Deep and later Boy Better Know, they managed to fit Jendor, P Money, Killa P, Blacks, Flowdan, Frisco, Wiley, and the late N.E., with Karnage and Maximum on deck.

This, as Son Raw pointed out for us recently, is the essence of grime: top-tier MCs, crowded into a room, passing the mic, improvising, and competing to top the last guy's 16.
