When Dotstar released his 2009 single "Stick Up" it would prove to be divisive to say the least. Though not critically praised, "Stick Up" would prove to be the funky house MC's biggest hit to date.

Produced by Ill Blu, the track leans heavily into Dotstar's West African influences while playing down the usual UK funky rhythms. In spite of all of that, "Stick Up" was a big hit in clubs up and down the country at the time and remains a fan favourite to this day.
