For dubstep fans in the mid 2000s, it was a hell of a time. It sounded like nothing that had come before it and, for a time, it saw some of the most exciting sonic experimentation. If you were there, you're about to feel 1,000 years old because Mary Anne Hobbs' Dubstep Warz session has just turned... (checks notes) 15 years old.

The monster session was a special edition of her legendary and truly groundbreaking Breezeblock series. Originally broadcast January 10 2006, the show featured just about every single name from the scene's top tier, including sets and appearances from Mala, Skream, DJ Distance, DJ Hatcha, Loefah, Sgt. Pokes, Vex'd, and Kode 9, The Spaceape, Coki, MC Crazy D, Roly Porter, Benga, Chef, Hijack, The Bug, photographer Georgina Cook and probably a couple more names we haven't spotted yet.

To celebrate the historic show's 15th birthday, Hyperdub boss Kode9 dug out the BTS footage, tracking the whole night in all its glory. Not only that, but Hobbs also recently broadcast a Dubstep Warz At 15 special on 6Music to look back on the late night session, which you can dip into here.
