HERITAGE: P Money & Big H Go Head-To-Head Live On Stage For Lord Of The Mics 6 (2014)

April 22, 2022

When P Money and Big H were pitted against each other for Lord Of The Mics 6 few could have predicted how explosive it would be. In the end it turned out to be a classic clash in the truest sense, arriving right at the peak of grime's mid-2010's resurgence and generating years of endless arguments about who really won.

There are a few reasons this one's secured in the history books. First, it's two titans of the scene squaring off against each other. Second, there was already a bit of bad blood between them and they'd spent a long time going at it on Twitter. And finally, because its outcome is so hotly contested.

On the face of it, Big H storming off stage before the clash hadn't even finished was an admission of defeat, a hasty retreat from the frontline. But there are quite a few grime fans who will swear up and down that not only was it not an admission of defeat, it was in fact a hilarious display of audacity that told P, Jammer and the audience that he'd already won and didn't need to spit another single bar. Officially, Big H's reps say he actually left the stage because the crowd was too loud and it was pointless continuing if his bars couldn't be heard. P Money wasn't convinced.

Honestly? The jury's out. We'll leave you to decide.
