HERITAGE: Nines Takes Us On A Nostalgic Journey Through His Life In This SBTV Freestyle (2013)

August 11, 2020

With Nines' upcoming seventh album Crabs In A Bucket just around the corner, let's take it back to 2013 on the day he released his second mixtape, Gone Till November. To mark the occasion, Nines stepped up for a session for SBTV, taking us through the path he'd travelled up to that point.

Unfortunately, the album's title came from the fact that Nines was sent to prison for a brief stint that year. However, thanks to this freestyle and mixtape, his career took a major upswing when he returned.

Backed by an instrumental from Willie Hutch and PineroBeats, this freestyle shows Nines at his most introspective, giving a frank account of his life before music, detailing the death of his brother and how he hopes he and his friends can leave it all behind.
