When grime had its 2013/14 resurgence, it was because it was the perfect storm of veterans getting back to their roots and a new generation of talents bubbling up all at the same time. Two MCs from the latter camp were AJ Tracey and Mez who came up with entirely different sounds.

Here they are, looking very fresh-faced back in 2015, joining Sian Anderson and the Hip-Hop Orchestra at Maida Vale to jump on a special, strings-led version of the instrumental from Kano's Home Sweet Home highlight "Mic Check 1-2".

This was part of a whole series of sessions Sian ran that set new gen MCs (plus a couple of veterans) against classic instrumentals. Besides Mez and AJ's workout, she also got Jammer on "Functions On The Low", Jevon and Janset on "Ps & Qs", Jammz and MicTy on "Eskimo", and Merky Ace on "Woo Riddim".
